The Mediterranean – Radio Festival of Sitia was organized for the first time in 2016 in Chlouverakis Grove after the collaboration of the Friends of Music Association and the Municipality of Sitia, with the kind support of Ross Daly’s Music Workshop Lavirinthos. Since 2014, the event has become an affair of Sitia’s Development Association, the Municipality of Sitia and the Friends of Music Association of Sitia with the cooperation of CosmosArte.

It hosts contemporary sounds and music blended with the Greek tradition, as well as the wider area of the Mediterranean, the Balkans and the East. The Festival is radio-broadcasted and goes on-air through the cooperating radio stations of Crete as well as the rest of Greece. During the Festival, there is an open exhibition where one can find crafts, local products, musical instruments and other things, while at the same time informative – entertaining activities and creative workshops take place.

PLACE: In 2015 the Festival moved to the Port of Sitia, as well as in the pedestrian area “Papies”, where it is still held today.
